That is an interesting one! There are times I feel ‘something’ is watching over me, especially when something has gone wrong. It doesn’t prevent the wrong thing happening but helps me manage the aftermarth (eg I get insight that helps control difficult emotions or understanding about something otherwise hard to accept). It must be my own brain, but is an open question as to whether something ‘spiritual’, like an angel or God, has helped those thoughts emerge… and is in a sense watching over me. Christianity teaches that the devil is an angel that turned from God; quite scary!

I used to have an open mind on this. Then my mother in law and brother in law died within a month of each other. I figured if there were angels and afterlife, these would be 2 people who would reach out, and they haven’t
