Yes, and yes (mostly). While I don’t think you “need” a new year to make a positive change I personally find that the whole fresh start actually helps motivate me to keep going.. I am a big fan of goal setting and the new year is a good time to set some for the coming 12 months.
I think it’s a good time to think about what you want to achieve in the immediate future, but I don’t really make formal resolutions. Not many people really keep them.
