I used to get a free weekly local newspaper delivered, but they stopped delivering them in my area. I have never read a full newspaper of any type, sometimes I’ll browse through but wouldn’t pay for a paper just to end up in the recycling bin.

No we don’t, but I’m sure my dad has his newspaper still daily delivered. When you don’t want it daily, I would probably just buy them at the news agency when you’re up for it

I like to sit on Sunday and read a physical paper, its relaxing. With this day and age it is rare. However I don’t get it delivered.

My mother in law used to have it delivered. We live off tge main road so it’s not an option for us. It was good, I do enjoy reading the newspaper, sometimes it got lost in long grass or was ruined by rain. But mostly it was good. With the internet and all the news shows on tv, I don’t really miss the daily edition

We read it online or watch the news. For us there is no need to make that purchase.

My grandma gets the newspaper delivered daily. When she finishes it, she passes it on to Dad, usually a few days worth at a time. When I visit Grandma or dad, there is always something to read – even old news is still news. We never bother with the paper at home, except for a free paper delivered once per month, which is read by all the household until the ink is ready to fall off the paper.

I used to but got way too busy with kids! It’s easy when it’s online and you can read it, and every now and again we will get an online subscription. OTherwise we try and catch the news when we can, and I’ll read newspapers at work during my lunch break.

When there was 4 of ou we used to. The paper was recycled for different reasons before going in the bin before our Council finally decided to divide our bins in half, then gave us separate ones.
Not having a big enough yard to have a compost heap., Grandma used to wrap the peels from F&V in paper beofre putting them in the bin. Grandpa used to clean all the school and other leather shoes on Sat. nights. He used to put newspaper on the floor and across his front so he didn’t accidentally get shoe polish on his clothes or the floor. He sometimes used paper he hadn’t read. We had a cat that stayed inside at night (you have to have them inside at night by law now). He used to dive in under the paper them come out of the top, then leap onto Dad’s hands. It became a routine game after a few weeks. We used newspaper in the bottom of the budgie’s cage to collect waste seed etc At times we cut photos out and kept for school assignments. We never knew what we would need or when so we saved what we thought may be needed later. They were stored in a carton so we could find what we needed We also saved photos from magazines. As family members grew up and moved out the papers got read less and less. At one stage we got the paper once a week that had the week’s TV Programs and car Club Notes in it. Then we stopped having it delivered as it was rarely read. If we heard there was something special in it we would buy one at a shop or when the newsagent came into work late afternoon. He was given permission to go desk to desk to those who bought a paper from him.
I still read the free Messenger to find out about local events etc. All re-cyclable papers and catalogues go in their special bin together with other suitable items

No but my husband gets th online addition so he can read anywhere at anytime.

Used to get it home delivered but it keep disappearing, so stopped

we did that for a while and it came so bloody late each morning, it was easier for me to go to the shops and buy it!!

I read the paper daily and we have recently gone to a digital subscription. Really enjoying the digital subscription as there is no mountain of old newspaper to put in the recycle bin anymore. Another great thing is we can download the paper onto our ipad even when we are away on holidays. No need to suspend delivery anymore or ask neighbours or others to pick up your paper if you have forgotten to suspend delivery or have failed to give enough notice to the newspaper to suspend delivery.

considered getting delivered weekend only as no time for reading & would waste during week but then realised I catchup with most news online as I have homepage set to news page.

You can elect to have your paper delivered on any day of your choice. My husband and I get the aper delivered every day and we both read it but sometimes I am a day or two behind with my reading.

We used to love getting the paper delivered, but found we didn’t have time to read it everyday and they were being left around unread. We then changed to just delivery of the weekend papers. We enjoyed that and weren’t wasting our money. However, when we moved, we didn’t get it delivered. Can’t say I miss it too much. I catch up on the news online .

We also give our papers away to people with bunnies! Good to repurpose those papers.
