  • Yes I have many of them the biggest one is anything that is steep like hills

  • Forgot to mention how we deal with it.
I think in my daughters case it’s a matter of not provoking and not totally avoiding either.
In regards to her fear for darkness I allow her to sleep with the big bedroom light on as we don’t need a child that is frightened in the night and doesn’t sleep all together. Happy to experiment during the day by switching off a light when she doesn’t pay notice or when a light need to be switched off let her be the one doing it.
Idem in regards to loud noises. There were times we couldn’t use the blender or vacuum with my youngest around, but now we do in moderation with preparing and warning.

  • My youngest is very fearful for loud noises and darkness. Even in broad day light she wants to have the lights switched on…

  • Feet!! Everyone close to me knows to keep their socks on haha

  • No not really :)

  • Heights, the dark, confined spaces and fear of suffocation. Crowds don’t do much for me either

  • Heights and confined spaces. I deal with them by avoiding heights and confined spaces. How else do you deal with phobias hahaha

  • Mine is heights and spiders, thats enough to deal with!

  • ahh heights and…. PLEASE DON’T JUDGE, FEEL FREE TO LAUGH BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE DOES………
frogs……..but going fishing or camping with hubby and having frogs around jumping on me, has kind of made me freak out less and less. before i couldn’t be any where NEAR a frog, now i can put up with at least being near one but i am not going to touch it or anything lol. maybe one day! thank god my children don’t chase me around with those things! lol. IRRATIONAL MUCH? LOL

  • I hate anything that crawls , mainly spiders, snakes etc. Professionals do say that if you expose more to what you are afraid of , the better chance your fears will go away or minimised. Maybe consult a psychologist to help .

  • I have a couple. I don’t like heights and I don’t like being in confined spaces, made worse if it’s also dark. I’m not a fan of lots of people either. I manage my phobias by avoiding the causes :)

  • I love your optimism! :-)

  • LOL! still working on some of the others – they will be conquered!

  • :-) You are right! Little steps surely help. I’m glad you could already overcome a phobia you had.

  • Surprisingly mom90758 – a lot of people have this phobia. Tackling a phobia is all about little steps. Mine was heights and I tackled it a bit at a time. Now to work on the others! ;)

  • Mine is not really a phobia, but I’m scared of putting my head under the water. I just avoid swimming, but it’s not really a solution, is it? :-)
