It’s a pyramid scheme

One of my sister in law was one a very long time ago , but she had to give it up as she didn’t have enough time to concentrate on setting up parties all the time . It also helps if you know a bit of cooking as she had to demonstrate the products and I ended up buying the white microwave steamer from her which I still have . She did enjoy it at the time , but still a fair bit of work if you want to more sales etc..

Tupperware is great to sign up to, but be sure you can get your starter parties first and be able to get your money to pay off your kit!! If you don’t think you can do your starter parties, honestly, I wouldn’t bother because is all you will be left with is a bill (but a lot of Tupperware =) ).
If you can definitely and easily get your starter parties and you know you can reach the monetary levels needed, so go for it!! Tupperware is very rewarding =)

make sure you have atleast 10 friends of family members lined up ready to start you off by having parties! I used to sell it years ago, its great but you need a lot of parties to get started

A little bit off the topic of your question here but there is a new direct sales company launching in Australia very soon which I am very excited about. I always said I would never join a MLM company but this one has me sold! To join at the launch phase is a very unique opportunity. Think Tupperware, Mary Kay, Avon, etc – they’re everywhere! This one isn’t! Let me know if you’d be interested in learning more =)

I LOVE tupperware! I would be so sad if it was to ever end…I am a sucker for the pink products! I do agree that it might be tough to get people to have the parties but you never know! It is still super successful after all these years so maybe go for it! You haven’t got anything to loose!

I would vote against Tupperware. I found their products weren’t that good, were hard to use and hard to clean and expensive. As others have said, there are lots of people already “doing” Tupperware too. perhaps you could look into other sales products like organic cosmetics or something else that isn’t already over-done!

How many people actually buy Tupperware products these days? It was popular years ago but now I think it is too expensive. People tend to buy cheaper products from the big stores. I personally think it would be very hard to get people to buy it and therefore you wouldn’t make much money.

I loved my time in Tupperware! Just make sure to pace yourself, be super organized with paperwork, give your customers the best service and gave fun!

Personally I’d steer clear of MLM; the market is so saturated & you’ll have to put in a lot of work for very little return. My little sister was lured into the whole Tupperware thing & soon found out it wasn’t what she thought it was (pushy & very money oriented). My mum also fell under the guise of DoTerra which whilst yes it’s a great product it is ridiculously expensive & you’ll work yourself to the bone trying to make it up the ranks..

Personally I’m not a big fan. There are so many people doing it and you need to constantly try to sell products for it to be worth your while. At the same time if you can think of a group of friends/family you want host a tupperware party with, then go for it. No harm in it and you might get something out of it.

be careful on how much you have to spend for starting your own business of selling it.

I did Tupperware for a year and have just recently given it up. I found so many people were tired of the product and there are so many demonstrators in my small area it was hard to find people who didn’t know someone who did it. But I did score a lot of free Tupperware over the year. My problem was that I spent my money on more Tupperware. Also when new special catalogues come out each month you need to buy at least one product so people can see and buy it.

I personally think people have become a little tired of the over sell and also that the market is flooded these days but it is definitely an option and I too would be interested in other’s experiences.

I think this is a great opitunity as I love Tupperware an if I was not such a shy person I’d do it as it’s such a layed back job..

As long it it does not cost you to join go for it as that is the only way to find out if its for you or not

I would say if it suites you GO FOR IT! It could be a lot of fun and if I was able to get my drivers license I would have joined a long time ago. My only tip would be no to be toooo pushy when trying to get guests to book extra party dates. I’ve found the demonstrators who make the offer and let the guests know what they and their host will get out of it without pushing too hard get more datings. The ones who keep on pushing once everybody has said no turn people off. Just because they don’t book a party today, doesn’t mean they wont in the future, or even call you to place future orders.
