Hello!

I did my grocery shopping yesterday and couldn’t get over the amount of people out and about already! I’m dreading going back, but need to for groceries. Do you mums have any tips on how to survive shopping during the Christmas rush?

  • Go in with a list of what you need. Makes this so much easier to get in and out.

Also now with supermarkets you can click and collect

  • only go when you have to or online order

  • get sopping delivered or visit smaller shops

  • layby and plan, stock up in advance! i try to avoid the last minute rush and no guarantee that i will be able to get what i need.

  • Shopping is a nightmare at the moment l can avoid the crowds by shopping early in the morning!

  • buy whatever pantry and fridge items you can early that will last until Christmas, organise home delivery if you completely want to avoid the shops, plan out your meals and write a list this will save time when trying to maneouvre around the store and at all costs don’t take the kids unless you really really have to!

  • Go early or late and go with a plan and get in and out as quickly as you can if you do not enjoy shopping. I like to shop and have a coffee and find it relaxing.

  • Online shopping with home delivery works really well – as does shopping first thing in the morning.

  • The same. I go to the supermarket when it opens (8 a.m. here). A lot easier and quicker.

  • Go early in the morning, as soon as the shops open, or late at night when it’s also quieter
