Hello!

Looking for toys that are tough and sturdy and will last. They need to be able to withstand plenty of chewing.

  • My best find was a red bone toy from kmart $7 it was the longest lasting we found

  • Kong products are fantastic!

  • The Kong products are indeed amazing. I’ve got a Labrador Retriever, 4 years old, and he regularly uses a Kong that I fill with peanut butter and mashed banana. They last for ages. Wonderful quality. They look expensive but they last so long, that it’s definitely worth paying a little bit more.

  • Any of the Kong range of dog toys because they are very strong and dogs love them.

  • Aussie dog products sell some tough toys, the staff ball is super tough

  • A simple tennis ball we would use with our dog!

  • The best toy we ever invested in for our dog (an English staffy) was a staffy ball. It’s an inch thick plastic ball about the size of a basketball. We’ve had it 6 years and it’s still going strong. Also, I believe the name is Hi Ho has some great chewing toys, I found them on eBay.

  • We get our dog marrow bones from the butcher and he cuts them long ways down the middle.

  • We have a Kong toy. Our pit bull x red heeler didn’t destroy it. You can fill it with different things too to keep things interesting. Treats, you can freeze soup or other food in it for hot days, peanut butter takes a while for them to get out

  • a Ginormous (uncooked) bone purchased regularly from the butcher. It will keep the dog amused for hours.

  • Thanks Mums – will take a look at all of these suggestions for dog toys. :)

  • Vets also recommend Gumabones .. along with plenty of tips on what NOT to give them!
