Hello!

After getting up to kids during the night. Spending time cleaning shopping etc I seem to forget things, mainly little things. I also get more accident prone. Does this happen to anyone else?

  • Yes it’s totally normal to forget things and be more accident prone when you’re tired.
    It helps me to make a wee note of the things I want or need to do.
    When kids wake you in the night, try to catch a nap when you can !


  • This must be my problem. I’m very forgetful and accident prone. I’m also not sleeping well


  • Absolutely. Most of my normal every shy skills got out the window when I’m tired. The experts say being tired is equal to being drunk, and that’s a disaster

  • I was told by my doctor if you overthink , you can also lose your memory which is very interesting as a lot of times I am thinking of various things. Maybe slow down a bit and be aware of what is happening around you .


  • Yes, definitely! When I’m tired, my memory suffers. I tend to do things half arsed too because I just can’t be bothered. Tiredness affects many facets of our every day lives

  • Yes. This happens to me. My brain just doesn’t function fully and when you think about it, it makes sense.

    Write yourself notes if you find yourself forgetting important things.


  • I am terrible, feel sick, forget so much (forgot what day it was once school finishes early that day was late picking up my kids!!!) fall over everything too amazing how many walls jump in front of me. You are not alone


  • You’re not alone. I definitely am more forgetful if I am sleep deprived. Make sure you’re very careful driving as it can be hard to concentrate for long periods when you are over-tired.

  • Yes , it does.Making lists with the things you want to do in a day will help , I do that from tine to time.


  • Totally…. our brains are great but they need sleep in order to file things in the right place


  • I AM LIKE A DIFFERENT PERSON WHEN I AM OVER TIRED ,,, I AM GRUMPY AND I GIGGLE AND DO STUPID THINGS , CAN NOT SEEM TO HELP IT


  • Yes absolutely … the brain needs sleep otherwise you find you cars keys in the freezer!

  • I’m always over tired sadly. Not due to my son as he’s an excellent sleeper.
    Some nights, I can remember absolutely everything, but the others, I can’t even remember my own birthday.
    I hate it, but I’m use to it now.
