We do a bit of both. My kids love doing craft and they love all things Christmas so they really enjoy making Christmas decorations. I think doing anything Christmassy just adds to the excitement for them.

I used to make them when my daughter was younger, but now I use shop bought ones.

I bought lots of cheap arts and crafts packs to make decorations next year. They were all in the 50 cents and under clearance basket.

I go through phases. Some years I love our tree completely decked out with the kid’s decorations and other years just store bought or a mix.

bought decorations a few years ago and you can keep adding onto that if you want and then the kids make things at school and make paper chains and stuff for home.

We have lots of homemade ones and buy a special new one each year too.

I generally buy decorations. I don’t think I’m enough of a crafter to do them myself!

When the kids were little, we used to make them, great school holiday activity! Not to mention the kids usually make some at school. My tree is full of home made decorations, some are a bit ratty now, but I refuse to throw them out because they are memories to me

I have an eclectic selection of new and old and much loved decorations! I find it difficult to part with any of them!

We buy a few decorations every year and store them in plastic containers to keep them organised between Christmases. We also skeptical quite a few each year, they are essentially disposable, although some we do keep. Paper chains and the like are great.
