My 18yr old just bought a stash of new books, so absolutely not from the past

I prefer paperback, don’t like e-books at all

I prefer paperbacks to ebooks.

Paper books seem to be as popular as ever.

No! Ebooks have their place, but nothing will ever replace a paper book for me.

I love both. I have books for when I’m in bed and a paperback for when I have a bath

Everyone thought that Videos would mean the end of the cinema, but that hasn’t turned out to be the case. I think the same will happen between ebooks and paper books – they will both happily co-exist.

For many – particularly the younger ones – paperbacks are indeed a thing of the past – but what a shame, there is nothing more delightful than curling up on the couch on a cold winter’s night with a good book or, indeed, lying under a shady tree on a warm summer’s day whiling away the time with a great novel!

I think for some people they are a thing of the past, but definitely not for me or my friends and relatives that read. I love swapping books with friends and relatives, it works out cheaper and feels good to share. The books get donated to charity when we are done and you can’t do that with an ebook. I personally love getting a new book, crisp and a nice smell and love the feeling of turning the pages.

I hope not! I love my physical books. And enjoy being able to share them with friends and family, rather than just sending a link or buying a download.

I have a Kindle but I still enjoy reading physical books

I still buy books I love them, the smell is addictive. reading ebooks also hurts my eyes after a while

I’ll never give up on my books, there is something special about the feel and smell of a book. Plus, I spend enough time looking at a screen during the day, I don’t want to do it when I’m trying to relax.

I agree with the comment below – there is a certain smell that you only get from a book. So glad books are offered as rewards by MoM.

Indeed… And the smell of a new book. It’s something that an ereader doesn’t give you.
And, with a paper book, you don’t have the risk of low batteries. 🙂

No – I love hard cover and soft cover books and many people I know are going back to paper based books. The feel of a book in the hand is wonderful.

I love my books and l know so many people will say the same thing so no l don’t think so!

In my idea not! I love paper books. And I would never buy eBooks for small kids (picture books) or cooking books. For novels is different, but those two categories in my idea are the best when they are printed.
