Yes i think it has because you are faceless behind a keyboard. Almost like it brings the nastiness out/no filters. Horrible.

Oh absolutely I agree it is making people ruder.
My son was born 4 months premature and at one stage I had his birth pic as my fb profile pic.
I made an innocuous comment on a fb thread once and this woman( who was being snarky to everyone) asked me why I had a pic of a dead baby as my profile pic. I was just so unbelievably disgusted, with so many rude comments going through my mind.
I try to ignore people and have even unfollowed family members for being so rude too.

I’d have to agree with you. The Internet can be a great resource but it has its downfalls. People think that they are not accountable to anyone so they do what they like. With no consequences for their actions it can only get worse.

Yes the net seems to take away the social filter that people have when face to face, they seem to say absolutely anything online that they would never imagine saying in person, it makes it easier for people to jump on the negativity band wagon…. oh how I wish for life before cyber bullying, and young girls with face book fake accounts pretending they are older ….its hard to police as a parent and very worrying
