Double Pram Recommendations - Mouths of Mums

Hello!

Have you had a double pram you absolutely loved? Or one that you would tell others to avoid?
In August I’ll have a newborn and a toddler who isn’t yet at a point he can walk independently everywhere we go and not cause chaos.
Ideally I want one that can have a newborn facing towards me, and another chair world facing. I currently have 10+ tabs open with different options and am going mad considering them all. It’s hard to know if reviews are real or very incentivized. I’d love to hear from some MoM’s!
Thank you

  • I was able to find a pram that ticks all my boxes for a newborn and toddler to be side by side and face seperate directions. I went with the Bugaboo Donkey 5 Duo, which is currently on clearance with an over $700 saving. Baby bunting in QLD has limited stock of combinations but direct online has some. Just in case any other mums see this and are looking at a similar set up. The reduced price made this something we could consider so I’m very thrilled

  • I’ve seen there is a baby expo coming to Brisbane in June, but it does make me feel a little antsy waiting that long as I’m due in August and definitely feeling the nesting urge already haha. Unfortunately living regionally we don’t have the big baby department stores here, just a small independent that doesn’t carry all the brands I’d like to see.

  • We had the Phil &Teds Sport buggy – which is a double buggy what can be converted into a single buggy and I have to say I really loved it and we used it for many years and then passed in on to my friend. It is a three wheeler with air filled tires which is very easy to manoeuvre over all kind of terrain (including forests, beaches and rocky ground)

  • I did not have a need for a double pram but I have seen some really great options out there that offer so many styles and add ons for when you really need them. My local baby shop offered demonstration days where they would show you all the different types of prams and what they could do etc. Have you considered looking into something like this to help with your choice?
