It’s been a fair few years since I was pregnant with my daughter and things have changed since then, I am now in a different town and I am stumped as to what to do next with my pregnancy. So with my first I had my blood test done by a doctor to confirm I was pregnant (he was no help & kept telling me share care, when I asked ‘what is share care’ I was told go to the hospital) so I did the rest of my pregnancy with the midwives at our local public hospital. The visits started at 11 weeks with the midwives and were monthly visits then into fortnightly.
This time around I have had my first visit to the doctor, had bloody tests done but have had no one call to confirm the test though. I had a referral for a ultra sound so I went for a scan last week, which confirmed I was 8 weeks. I have had a midwife call me and she congratulated me for being pregnant, she said they will see us around 20 weeks. What am I meant to do in the meantime, my doctor has never called with results or even asked to see me again. This is a new doctor to me as the one I usually see have recently closed doors.
I’m hoping there will be a few mum out there who have recently been through the early stages & can tell me what the procedure is or when should I be making my next appointment??
I just don’t think I can hold my emotions in if I called the medical center after what happened last time I was pregnant with my daughter.
