Hello!

There are a few things I need to consider buying and have been holding out for the end of financial year sales. What is one or two things you try and buy in these sales that is worth the wait and that you get for a real bargain. I want to be savvy with my money and make sure I get a great bargain. I would love to hear what others are looking to buy.

  • Not an EOFY sale but I *hope* others see this as I can’t post it anywhere. If you did the Nescafe trial and kept your receipt you can get a free stainless steel shaker and bag of choccie powder! I stumbled upon it by chance after writing my MoM review. Search Nestle cappuccino chocco shaker, fill in your deets and receipt number and get your freebie. I just got my auspost email today that it’s coming

  • We also went on the hunt at end of year sales for particular clothes. Again we managed to find some real bargains and these clothes will last a long time. We do not like to pay full price for clothes and the end of year sales are so good for finding and buying a bargain.

  • We were keeping a very keen eye out for new blankets and sheet sets for whole family. We managed to make huge saving and buy blankets and sheets sets at half price; such a huge saving and also good for keeping every one warm and saving on power bills by being toasty overnight.

  • I ended up taking advantage of *many* beauty sales. I have so much lush skin care, perfume and make up coming my way. Self care is top on my spending list outside of anything bub needs, so I’m as happy as ever! Hope everyone else found some killer sales and treated themselves!

  • I like to look for shoes at the Dr Martens store or at Platypus where they sell beside Dr Martens also Converse shoes and other brand shoes. Another thing I like to look at is play equipment for the kids in the garden; For example at Funky monkey bars they have some great eofs products.

  • Ergo pouches are great and we have used them for many years, in fact till my youngest was 10 !! She has a severe intellectual disability, severe ADHD and some sensory issues and never tolerated blankets even not in the colder winter months. Now at age 11 we have gradually getting her used and tolerate blankets, so I don’t need to order at ErgoPouch anymore, but can certainly recommend them and the end of the financial year sales are a great moment to do so.

  • regarless what you are looking to buy, do you use these apps that can potentially get you cash back or better deal, do a search upon these app before you purchase, its just a couple of extra clicks and it adds up over time, Cashrewards and Shopback are the ones i use.

  • We tend to buy reams of paper for the printer, and sometimes ink cartridges for the printer.

  • I find EOFY sales seem to focus more on business buys than personal buys these days unfortunately.
    – Baby bunting has some great discounts on car seats
    – Tommee Tippee twist and click refills are 50% off at Baby Bunting which is better than amazon
    – myer has 30-40% off kids clothes
    – Baby Kingdom has some great prices on UppaVista prans which Baby Buntingbwill match
    – 40% off bonds
    – 50% off buggies nappies at coles and their colesfest promos

  • I am finding no particular sales time outweighs any other lately. We have now got a handful of big sales periods and a few of them seem to last quite a number of weeks. Black Friday Cyber Monday seems almost a better discount at most places than Boxing Day sales!
In saying that I am on the lookout for a new laptop or PC, as my current laptop is nearing the end of its life- so I will hopefully snap up something great at a decent price.

  • Grateful I didn’t pull the trigger 2 days ago when I was looking, the reversible fluffy pram liner I wanted from OiOi went on sale today. I already have one and love the fabric. Just in case any other mums are in the market for one I thought I’d come back and comment! And the ergoPouch sale started, bagged a 3.5Tog for this crazy cold weather for bub

  • I am not really looking for anything specific, but I tend to keep an eye out for smaller to mid-size things which are suitable for presents – especially a few generic sort of things like nice scarves which you can hang on to for emergency presents. I also look for things I buy regularly and will eventually need.

  • I usually find the best sales for larger things at end of year, like black Friday and boxing day. I like EOFY sales for smaller purchases. MooGoo have 25% off, No Frill Refills have 20% off (love this brand). If you’re in the market for feeding recliners iL Tutto have up to 50% off tomorrow. Ecoya have 20% off refills today. I’m curious to see what others are eyeing

  • it depends on what you really need. i wanted a TV and got a great deal from JB hifi. but i am still looking for a freezer to buy on a good deal. haven’t found yet, I know some electronic stores are having good deals now. follow some pages that may help you to overlook where and when you can have great deals.
