My mum was 41 when she had my l little brother. I remember vividly our parents sitting us down as a family and announcing the news. As a 13 year old, I was so excited and pleased as was my 11 year old sister. My brother was 16 and not fussed either way.

If your eldest daughter would like, why don’t you tell your other children together. It might be easier that way all round.

I would talk to your pregnant daughter first and ask how she’d like you to tell them.

Aw that’s actually very exciting ! First of all congratulations ! I can imagine this could give a lovely bond between you and your eldest. In regards to how to share it with your tweens, I would just have an open conversation and be mindful that their response not directly may be all excited. Acknowledge their feelings and try to understand them.
