We usually look for serviced apartments – they’re often very cost effective.

I’ve had a few friends stay at SeaWorld and say it’s very kid friendly.

Also; look for family deals; there are often good deals for families.

it is so hard to find good cheap accommodation. Have you considered looking at the last minute accommodation options available for QLD? what about a house swap option? It has been over 15 years since i have been to QLD so i am not much help but try and look at all the internet sites and see if you can find a good deal. Going out of season is always a bit cheaper and could be something worth considering depending on when you were thinking of going.

We have gone to the Gold Coast when it is quieter and it is easier to find cheaper accommodation and lines are shorter for theme park rides. We have always searched online for the best deals.

The Big 4 Holiday parks are always my go to.

Booking in advance and outside of peak holiday dates will get you the best prices. Places like NRMA treasure island and BIG4 holiday park are great for families. There are fun things for the kids, and because it’s family friendly you don’t have to be worried about little bubs being loud, other parents will get it. Everything is within a fairly short drive.
We love the Mantra Surfers Paradise and Q1.
There are a few camping, cabin and farm stay options in the area that you can look into if you’re the outdoorsy type.
