Bless you ! I think father’s day and mother’s day is actually hard for many and it’s good to be aware for us all that there are many who’re grieving and hurting on this day

It is hard, but I temper the advertising by saying to myself that everyday is Father’s Day or Mother’s Day. On the day itself, it may be useful to visit the cemetery or say a prayer for a departed parent.

I like that a lot of retailers are now offering the choice to opt out of father’s day/ mothers day advertising, so at least you’re not getting it shoved in your face in your inbox.

You get used to it. I focus on my mum and my partner on this day. It helps but you never stop missing your dad

Sorry for your loss. I lost my dad when I was 21, he was only in his mid 50s. Many years have passed, but not a day goes by without my thoughts wandering towards him.

It is good that quite a few companies are now offering the chance to opt out of father’s day advertising emails.

It was indeed a hard day for some.

A friend of mine lost his father on Christmas Day last year. This is his first fathers day without him and it was also very hard. The first 12 months is the most difficult due to all the annual anniversaries and memories. I’m sorry for your loss and hope you were able to respectfully remember him on Fathers Day.
