Hello!

I have just turned some of our loungeroom into a book corner and have moved a lot of toys outside. Does anyone have a book corner for their kids? If so what are some of their favourite books? Thanks :)

  • where is the green sheep, the very cranky bear, the very scary bear, Dr seus books,, pamela allen books

  • We have a book corner in the lounge, one in each bedroom and a stack on the kitchen table! We love books in our house. All sorts of books and authors

  • We have a bookshelf in the lounge room packed with kids books. Mine love the Disney books and Dr Seuss

  • My daughter is obsessed with Peppa pig at the moment so loves their books but also “where is the green sheep” is another fave :)

  • Belinda The Cow
    Wombat Stew
Three Bears (rap version, very cool)
    Possum Magic
    Dr Seuss – all books!
Guess How Much I Love You – my 23yo asked me to add this one and called it ‘the rabbit one’.. That speaks volumes to me x

  • My kids have a bookshelf in each of there rooms, my daughter is 9 now & loves ronald Dahl books. My son who is 5, his favorite book is ‘I love you stinky face’.

  • My children are all grown now but my grandchildren love books. I have old school books that they love, Noddy and Big ears, The Hardy Boys and my own two picture books. ‘Nanna’s storm’ and Nanna’s Boot camp. Encouraging children to read is a wonderful thing, it opens their mind up to a world of imagination! I have enclosed a link to ‘Nanna’s Boot Camp’ for your perusal. http://www.morrispublishingaustralia.com/gondor-writers-centre-books.html

  • A lovely idea. My daughter loves reading. I guess her favourite ones when she was younger were Dr Seuss, Richard Scarry, Mem Fox.. Growing up Roald Dahl, Harry Potter, End Blyton…

  • Anything from Mem Fox or Pamela Allen for their early reading.

  • I have a “book house”. I have 2 bookshelves of my own books, and my 3yo son already has 3 bookshelves. sometimes I wonder if it was such a good thing to pass my love of books onto him… oh well, there are much worse things we could be collecting :)

  • Our whole house is one big book corner.

  • i have a bookshelf but a book corner sounds like a great idea

  • No book corner because they are everywhere. Our daughter loved Dr Seuss, The Pearlie Books, Shirley Barber fairy books and as she got older, Saddle Club, Phil Kettle books, Morris Gleitzman, Andy Griffiths books, Lemony Snicket then Harry Potter…

  • Depending on the age of your child, mine likes any book with lots of pictures and not many words!

  • we have alot of Dr zeus. My children love those books.

  • there are some good comments here

  • i want to have a book coner but just no room for it

  • The ‘that’s not my’ books are great. He also loves the Sesame Street ones

  • My kids absolutely love the book “Time for bed Tiger”. on each page they get to put on of the characters into their bed.

  • My 4 year old loves Karma Wilson and Julia Donaldon books, while my 7 year old loves Dr Seuss and Saurus Street.

I also have a book corner. pop some cushions on the floor in front of the bookshelf and you’ll find them there all the time ‘reading’ a book.
