  • Surely just being together on this special day is enough?

  • We never felt limited when our kids were young. We took them anywhere and everywhere, for breakfast lunch or dinner.

  • That is so lovely for you. We had our first beautiful bub after we were married 9 months and 3 weeks . that was 45 years ago and I am pretty sure my darling mum baby sat for a few hours and we went out for a quiet romantic dinner.

  • Depending on if you were prepared to have a sitter.

If you do have a sitter over night, book a romantic night away! Have some hubby & you time. 1 year anniversary is important because its the first. You & your hubby deserve to celebrate it. Treat yourselves!

If you have a sitter for only a few hours, go out for dinner! Go out & enjoy a lovely meal together then if you have time go see a movie or go bowling. Or even take a walk around your town just enjoying time with one another.

If you can’t get a sitter, make your anniversary a family affair! Go out for lunch with bub. Take a walk as a family. Have a picnic.
& when you get home & bubs is asleep don’t forget to take some time together.
It’s your first anniversary, enjoy it :)
    & congratulations.

  • Pre children we would go out to dinner so we swapped this for lunch and baby stayed in the pram

  • My hubby and I were the same and we decided we wanted to leave the house, so we booked a table at a nice restaurant not far from our home. Our baby was so good, he slept almost through the whole meal.

  • i hope your night was fun

  • I’m glad you asked this question! Our son will be 5 months at our 1st anniversary. Some
    Great answers here

  • I would ask a parent to babysit and maybe go out to dinner and a movie, if that isn’t an option then do it all at home, order some takeout and a movie

  • We had a “takeaway” chinese picnic in the lounge room, my bub was 3 weeks old. So still no wine becasue of breast feeding but i did have chocolate. We put out a rug dimmed the lights and put on music, was wonderful till bub woke up, we still laugh about it

  • Probably still too small to take your son along, I can only think of having a modest celebration at home. After all, celebrating a wedding anniversary does not need to be extravagant, it just needs to be special and having a child is already that and more.

  • Maybe a dinner cruise for you both or even a lovely romantic getaway I know scoopon has some fantastic deals maybe check there site out.

  • Romantic getaway, have a look on scoupon and Groupon those sort of sights you can even get 5-7 course meals very cheap!! :)

  • If you don’t have anyone to babysit, have a quiet night at home with a DVD and a good meal.

  • Quite night at home with some take away and maybe a movie or something that interests you both once bubs is asleep :)

  • Maybe go for a picnic? Or if you get someone’s to watch bub while you have dinner?

  • Is there someone that can watch him while you go out?

  • if the grandparents will watch bub for a couple of hours so you can go out and have a nice meal..even better if the grandparents could watch bubs overnight.. wishful thinking but if they did you could have a nice overnight get away..
    good luck

  • If your bub is well behaved you could book a nice restaurant and pop them in the capsule and take bub along. We did this when our bub was quite small and she hid under the table sleeping while we wined and dined. When we left people were quite amused because they didn’t even know we had a baby with us!

  • can you get someone to babysit just for 2 hours so you can go out for a nice meal and then come home?
otherwise get a movie and some takeaway some nice wine put your feet up together!
