Hello!

I was just wondering if you could help me with food ideas for my daughters first birthday. She is having older children at her party too. I’m also interested in some craft and game ideas.

  • Fruit, sandwiches, dips and veggies/crackers. A variety of healthy food that she usually eats would be best!

  • Party pies and sausage rolls, cupcakes, fairy bread, chocolate crackles, lollies and chips. So much to choose from

  • Great comments and I hope the party went well.

  • Great ideas! There really interesting comments on this!

  • Cool! Really interesting reading the comments on this!

  • Hopefully the party went well?

  • I think the safest option is fruit fruit and more fruit lol! With so many allergies and sensitivities these days I am definitely not looking forward to catering for kids birthday parties, give me a 500 strong wedding party anyday over little tummies!

  • Cupcakes, finger sandwiches, party pies, chips, sausage rolls.

  • i would try some craft idea. check mouths of mums craft ideas :)

  • there are some good comments here

  • Party pies – homemade is best. You can also do cocktail franks and the usual treats. Fairy bread with soft sprinkles.

  • Hope the party went well

  • a good variety of food should cater for everyone. fruit platters are always good as they suit all ages. things like orange jelly wedges, cheese sticks, yoghurt pouches can be enjoyed by all aged children.

great games for young ones include pass the parcel, freeze and musical chairs. pin the tail/nose on an animal of some kind always has the amused as well. not all games have to include just the kids, the parents can get involved to help too.

  • how did it go? :)

  • My daughter loves those monster snacks and there can be cheezels and the like for the older kids

  • How did you go with the party?

  • My mother in law was obsessed with feeding mine cheezels on her first birthday

  • How did the party go?

  • Some really great suggestions below.

  • Fruit Kebabs, Fairy Bread, Marshmallows, chips, lollies,
