hold a trivia night and a raffle, ask for donations. most people have things in their cupboards that they have never opened

chocolates or lamington drives are good options

Contact your local movie theatre and see what they can do. Many will organise a special deal for kids movies where a fixed amount from each ticket is given to the organisation. Sell the tickets where ever you can. Better than a raffle as everyone gets a prize

You could do something fun and social like a car wash? cake stall? sausage sizzle? (the bunnings ones?) or get the mums and their friends on a shopping tour?

I love the disco idea someone mentioned as goes with the dancing link well. I would assume the bunnings bbq would be a good earner, they are normally pretty popular. what about selling chocolates??
