Funny moments - Mouths of Mums

Hello!

My daughter said the funniest thing the other day and it made me realise just how much kids take in when we say things without even thinking about it! We were sitting at the lights one day and they turned green, but the car in front wasn’t moving. I must have said once or twice, “Chop chop, we don’t have all day!” Fast forward to the weekend… we were in the car and my daughter randomly came out with “Chop chop, we don’t have all day!” It absolutely cracked me up and made me realise she’s listening to EVERYTHING I say! What’s the funniest thing your child has ever said that you REALLY wish you could have recorded?

  • couple of funny ones I recall was when we were at the play ground and my son asked if I could push his bum to go of the slide, then my daughter asked if I could push her vagina of the slide ;D.
My daugher walked once in my husband on the toilet and she asked why he had a tail ;D
Once we were at the shop and my daughter (who was about 3 yrs at that point) made a comment on seeing a woman in a niqab asking why she was dressed up as a ghost…

  • lol! Love it! It really is funny what they pick up from us. I’m the same as Ellen! I’ve tried to capture as much footage as I can over the years but it’s harder and harder with the younger ones! For me I wasn’t aware my kids heard me call out to my hubby ‘babe.. what do you want for dinner or babe where’s the keys’ until I was looking for him one day and so my youngest started running around calling ‘babe? Babe!?’ It was hillarious.

  • My toddler recently asked my husband to “skooch” over on the bed. Then commented on my in laws “gorgeous” decor. I found it hilarious that he’s picking up my jargon. We have a book called “funny thing’s you’ve said” that we fill with all his quips. Also what is his favourite song at the time. It’s filled with winners

  • Yes our kids are little sponges and they can come up with funny sayings. For years I have kept a record from funny things my eldest two were saying. I still have it somewhere on the computer and my plan is to make one day a personalized photo album for each and add in there. Sadly I haven’t done it with my younger kids as life became busy
