Hello!

How to get rid of ants naturally? I seem to always have ants in my kitchen and end up using bug spray. Any hints on getting rid of them naturally?

  • I have always found talcum powder to be the best solution, their little legs can’t get through it. Sprinkle it where you can see them coming into your house and around any windowsills where they usually get in. It should keep them at bay.

  • Sprinkle talcum powder around

  • Good topic! Really interesting comments read on this!

  • 50/50 baking soda and icing sugar mixed up.

  • bi carb soda

  • Ivebheard talcum powder works:)or cinnamon

  • Corn flour, cheap, safe and effective

  • I know it isn’t natural but ant rid works

  • place a small tub, like a lid off the butter, on your bench filled with a paste made from bicarb and icing sugar. The sugar attracts the ants and the ants cant digest the bicarb so it kills them. Good luck!

  • Oh also borax, sugar and water paste is a good natural option.

  • Not natural but ant rid gets the job done, getting rid of the best once and for all!

  • i remeber seeing some pest control stuff i health food store. meant to get rid of pest using natural stuff. go and have a look?

  • there are some good comments here

  • Thanks for posting, have only ever tried ant rid but will try cornflour next time which is a much better cheaper option.

  • I would be happy if these natures little cleaners would stay out side

  • Find the nest and pour a jug of boiling water down the hole. Kills the nest stops the problem.

  • Some good advice there below.

  • We have a really bad ant problem too right now so I’ll be following the answers

  • Some great ideas, hope you found one that worked.

  • It depends – a constant ant problem may be indicative of a nest in which case you may need to ask someone to come out and check.
