Hello!

I have 3 year old son and have trouble getting him to sleep at night , I have tried different things like aroma snoze and reading which he won’t sit still . He is my 3rd child and I did not have trouble with my other two they went straight sleep at night

  • Lots of fresh air during the day, keep them active and tire them out, warm bubble bath before bed, dim lighting and use a sleepy time balm or pillow spray should help too

  • My 2.5 year old is getting to bed later at night, so we are looking at moving and reducing his day naps, as well as trying to get him to sleep in in the morning. Its a bit of trial and error with kids as they’re all different. Good Luck!

  • Is he still having a day nap? If so maybe cut it out and avoid too much drink or sugary treats close to bedtime. Set up a wind down routine to get him in that mode also helps

  • Tricky, routine? Or let him play quietly in the dark til he falls asleep- my 3 year old has started this but he is quiet and settled and soon falls asleep on his own after playing

  • He might need a small dose of melatonin?

  • All kids are different. Lots of things can promote a good sleep ;
    -clear day/nighttime routine
    -a walk after dinner
    -followed by a bath
    -bedtime stories
    -cuddling up before bed
    -relaxing chat about the day before bed
    -warm milk before bed
    -a pass to get 1x out of bed
    -dimmed light calm down time
    -no devices or tv before bed
    -plenty activity during the day

  • What time he is getting up? Any naps? Maybe evening walk will help
