Hello!

I am wanting to get a little gift for my son’s fabulous teachers at his daycare centre (he is nearly 3). Does anyone have any inexpensive, unique and nice ideas? Also does protocol say I just buy for the main 2 teachers in his room or for all of the teachers who we get to interact with regularly also?

  • Chocolates are easy and always appreciated.

  • There is no protocol when it comes to gifts. Give with love to those you wish to. Something hand made from your child would be lovely with some chocolates.

  • Even something small like a packet of biscuits for each of the teachers is appreciated.

  • A box of chocolates is normally the idea gift.

  • every carer loves chocolates.

  • OK. Why start something like that?? If you give to one, you should give to all teachers in that room. Some have a policy not to accept gifts. Who is going to be the most embarrassed??

  • Great! There really interesting comments on this!

  • I wouldn’t bother with gift giving at all, they’re only doing their job, which they get laid for doing. A card should do

  • candle, photo frame? wine and choclates

  • Great answers everyone thank you

  • hand-picked bunch of flowers tied with ribbon is nice, gift to do
scenty lip balm or bath salts too,hand-cream she can carry in her bag too
small pretty mirror, not expensive it is true
A pretty nail-file lots colours and designs to choose
hope these ideas that are inexpensive and handy to use

  • I would just buy for the two main teachers that help and chocolates are always a winner but other things that they can use like shower gels / even maybe a movie ticket or something so your not adding clutter to the house.

  • maybe a potted plant.
    thats something id like.

  • I think a coffee mug with a homemade card :)

  • As a preschool assistant I love anything that the children in my groups give me,be it a bought gift or something the children gave made, last year I was given a little paper trinket box the child gad decorated by themselves it meant so much to me but honestly the things that mean the most to me are the cards where parents and children write and say thank you, I gad one that almost made me cry reading the words. So it doesn’t need to be an expensive gift something that simply shows the families appreciation means a lot more.

  • You can buy for as few or as many of the teachers as you want. They usually love chocolates (who doesn’t?)

  • Handmade thankyou cards would be nice I think!

  • what did you end up gving them?

  • there are some good comments here

  • A nice candle , perfume, chocolate
