Hello!

Hi. My daughter is turning 13 soon (I can’t believe how time flies) and I’m stuck for gift ideas. She loves clothes and things from Typo but I wanted to get her something a bit more special/sentimental. Does anyone have any ideas? I have asked her but she says she doesn’t know. Thanks.

  • Yes they do like clothes and shoes and things for their room at that age. What about a personalised photo book ?

  • not sentimental but I have found the best is gift cards or taking them on a shopping spree.. for sentimental maybe a watch or pandora charm bracelet that you can get charms for on other occassions

  • Books are great, maybe one that you remember enjoying at her age? Or buy her a really nice hardback notebook to record special moments.

  • I’m in the same boat with my soon-to-be 16 year old niece and have just discovered a website called Lily Anne Designs — I’m getting a pendant made and I can select the charms that go into it. They come in silver and gold, depending on what you like. I was really happy to find the site!!

  • My daughter is 12yo and she wants a 9ct gold signet ring.

  • I think there’s something grown up and special about a nice piece of jewellery at that age.

  • I would take her with me to choose a special piece of jewellery that suits her taste and is timeless. I still have the gold bangle my parents bought me for my 13th and the watch my sister bought me. I still have the stuffed dog my best friend bought for me too . I would also ask if she would like to have some special friends over to help her celebrate.

  • I think a special piece of jeweller would be nice. A nice pair of earrings or a necklace,

  • An experience to ‘swim with wild dolphins’
    cost us $99pp

    all inclusive
included transfers to and from city
    lunch,snacks
    wet suits, boat ride,
best thing is people who don’t know how to swim can also experience it!

deals like this are very very common, even interstate! i went with friends, one of the best thing i ever did!

  • A nice gold braclet or jewellery box.

  • Ive got 3 daughters and they each received a signet ring when they turned 10 as that was a big deal…suddenly being double figures. My eldest is 26…all the girls still wear their rings. If she doesnt have one then perhaps you could get her one for becoming a teenager. Its very exciting to go to a jewellery store and get to choose a ring.

  • you can get a special piece of jewellery made for her from Belle Fever they can make it in any design you want. https://www.facebook.com/ilovebellefever

  • My niece will be getting her ear’s pierced so it’s easy for me….. a pair of earrings with her birth stone, but as well as that her Mum is taking her to her first show (the Lion King!), they’re both very excited :)

  • Something that is really special but really appropriate age wise too is a lovely little locket engraved with her initial and signed on the back from mum and dad.

  • For my 13th birthday, my parents gave me a beautiful engraved locket and chain. I’m not sure if lockets are really that popular or trendy anymore but maybe a Thomas Sabo or Pandora braclet with aome charms?

  • Pandora bracelet with a mother & daughter charm or something that means alot to you both

  • A signet ring, a silver bangle or belcher bracelet

  • Pandora bracelet as a keep sake or maybe a night out in a hotel in the city with room service and movies in bed

  • We went to the jewellers with miss going on 13 and said lets pick something with memories and that will remind you off this day she chose a Pandora bracelet, which is great as it gives us more gift ideas for her

  • What about a special piece of jewellery to celebrate her special year? An identification bracelet perhaps? That is something special that will last
