Hello!

I know it’s too early but it’s good to be prepared. I am just running out of ideas for a nice present for my husband this Christmas. I want to see if I could get ideas from here. :)

  • See what he likes and possibly get a
Gift card in that category?. So that way he Can put it to use and he can happily buy something he likes at the end. Goodluck, I’m sure whatever you get your hubby will like it regardless as it comes from you!

  • It might not help now but I listen throughout the year for hints on things he wants and buy as I can. Sometimes if I ask, he can’t say what he wants but when it’s through the year as he thinks of things (without asking the Q), I find I get a better idea, and I can also make the most of sales.

  • I’ve had this dilemma for 34 years and it doesn’t get easier but as a general rule choose gifts that are appropriate for your partner’s interests, steer clear of stuff they don’t like or have no interest in, all else fails ask for a shortlist, though I do concede this is often comparable to getting blood from a stone! Avoid falling into the trap of buying what YOU like!!

  • For Christmas, you could consider something personal like a custom photo book filled with memories from the year, or maybe a fun experience like tickets to a concert or a cooking class you can do together. If he enjoys tech, maybe a smart gadget or a new accessory for his favorite hobby would be great too. You could also think about a subscription box tailored to his interests, whether it’s for food, books, or even grooming products. Whatever you choose, I’m sure he’ll appreciate the thought you put into it!

  • Try the avent calendars, they look amazing this year!

  • I intend to not buy my husband a gift at Christmas and he doesn’t buy me one either for me
    we dont need any gifts

  • Hubby’s are so hard! I’m racking my brain about mine! It really depends on what his interests are. Is he into tools? Maybe some Ryobi power tools? Hiking or camping gear? Sometimes it’s better to buy experiences. If you know something he really likes doing maybe lock it in for him on a free weekend.

  • Another way of giving gifts at Christmas is to buy a Christmas gift bag and fill it full of favourite goodies. I buy goodies when on special throughout the year and then there is a bag full of favourite goodies to enjoy over Christmas and the Summer holidays. The goodies can vary depending on what the person likes.

  • I always try to have my ears open throughout the year to get idea’s of what my husband would want. I always buy some alcohol (like a good Irish whiskey for example) and try to find things he enjoys and practical things he may need (like a bike, a fancy bike pump, a garden tool, computer gadgets, clothing, running shoes)

  • Christmas time gifts are always so easy in our household and we buy books for each other. The Christmas holidays are perfect for finding a cool place to sit and read books. We buy books throughout the year that are on special. Maybe search the bookshop for topics of interest and genres of interest. My husband is always thrilled to receive books and often drops hints about books that he wants to read.

  • If he loves bbq’s you could buy him a really cool smoker to slow cook meat in. I know this is a winner with my friends husband. Other options are depending on what he likes to do on weekends is get him an experience from red balloon. Something he has never done before but will remember for a lifetime.

  • I’m on the look out for a nice, older style office desk. Not a flat pack or modern design one. Jazz up his office space a bit. Also looking to update his wardrobe a bit. He tends to wear things until it looks like a watermelon squeezed out of the neck hole. Very keen to see what others suggest!
