Hello!

“I noticed a question about a present for a girls first birthday, but its my sons first birthday on Thursday and I really don’t know what to get, he already has a smart trike, and he isn’t interested in toys, he’d much rather play outside in the new dog kennel (which the dog hasn’t had a chance to use yet lol) I need some creative ideas”

  • I’d recommend large building blocks.

  • An outside little boy….. Maybe some kind of swing set, slide. A gardening set maybe. Ball games. Paddling pool. My son got a few personalised gifts for his 1st. They’re treat little keepsakes

  • Bike seat for your bike, good for you and he can see what is going on while you ride

  • cubby house, duplo, anything trains/Thomas

  • Trinkets are great keepsakes from 1st birthdays. At such a young age, kids don’t notice or need another toy. Personalised gifts are also great.

  • Our son got a little tykes car for his 1st birthday – loves it!

  • what did you end up getting?

  • if he likes the dog kennel maybe a tent and play tunnel would be good

  • What did you end up getting him?

  • I hope he enjoyed what ever you got him.

  • I think a sandpit would be great for your little man.

  • At his age whatever you get him he will love the box it came in more!

  • Outdoor toys sound great for him.

  • The sand activity tables are great for outdoor play

  • What did you end up getting?

  • i love the mozart dvds and in the night garden dvds. such lovely ideas

  • Sandpit and some buckets spades ect, sand and water tables are great.

  • The best toy my sons recieved was a little push & go car it uses no batteries and they push down on a big button on the top & the car would go and it was indestructable and provides years of fun. They are not very exspensive so you could buy more them one.Another great toy that gave years of enjoyment was Fisher Price Rescue Heroes. You add on every birthday,Xmas etc & tell everyone this is your kids choice of a gift There are lots of different charachters like Firemen, policemen etc good role modelling. You can add a helicopter, boat etc We ended up with all items .I found Fisher Price to be worth the extra money as they are undestructable toys.

  • TOys that relate to his areas of interest (e.g. trucks? blocks? dress up?)

  • Duplo blocks, some sort of kit to build outside, bug catchers?
