Logos can be alot 9f hard work and since they are what will catch the eye to your business i would seek out a graphic designer on fb. Maybe you could work out a deal they get something in return for doing you a logo?

Canva. It’s a fantastic (free) app that allows you to put together all sorts of graphic designs. There are heaps of free design elements or they have graphics that you can pay for (individual pics and graphics are cheap, but I’m guess it would add up if you had a complex design). You can also upload your own pics. It’s easy to use as well.

If you need a logo for your business I would try a crowd sourced site. I have used Design Crowd before, but there are heaps of others. In short you write your design brief and then state how much you’re willing to pay and then designers will submit their designs. You pick the one you like (most allow revisions if you want something changed slightly) and they get paid. It kind of acts like a competition. When I used it, I received close to 100 designs and my budget certainly wasn’t high.

Could be worth paying a professional? Or if you are after something cheap – find a graphic design student to help you out. They will probably love the experience and appreciate building their portfolio

I’m a web designer and there’s no APPS for graphics, unfortunately. Download a free 30 day trial of Photoshop and get stuck into it for free. Then decide if it’s worth the dollars to buy a licensed version.

Have a look at the Google Business apps.

If you see some web site that has designs you like, they usually have a small fine print and the end of the page with the company name who designed it. Sometimes it is an email, or webpage link. Click on it and it will take you to the page for the design company. They usually cost a bit more than designing it yourself of course.but it will give you an insight.
