My dad made a couple. For one he just dug a hole and lined it with heavy duty plastic, securing itvaround the edges with big rocks. Another he dug a hole and lined it with concrete
you will need to put mesh over it or the birds will eat the fish – until the plants grow, plants are important to keep mozzies from breeding in the water. There is an app call ‘instructibles’ great how to app
My dad did. He dug a hole and put in a plastic one. He’s also dug a hole and lined it with plastic. Either way, it didn’t cost too much. Sadly for the fish, dads ducks liked to swim in it……A LOT!
We used a kids shell pool.
Dug out the hole, covered the pool in black plastic, lowered it in & surrounded the edges with large rocks.
Popped in a few rocks and some gold fish for decoration & it looks great!
Best part is it’s portable so if we decide to move house or just want to place it somewhere in the yard we can
We built a fish pond in the back yard using old scrap pieces, wooden sleepers & black plastic was on the floor, decorated with rocks & plants from the garden ,cost nothing.
