  • I was given antivirals which make you feel awful, and immunoglobulin.

  • Shingles is caused by the EBV virus, and if you keep feeding it with bad diet it will get worse. Get a hold of books by Anthony William or look him up on the internet, you might be able to find his books in the library, he explains how to get rid of it permanently. He is also on Facebook, Instagram and Youtube.

  • I haven’t had shingles but my best friend did. It lasted a couple of months and was pretty severe.

  • If you discover the rash early enough apparently there is special treatment you can be given which lessens the suffering and length of time you have it for. A friend of mine got it around his eye and it became red and sore very quickly. He had to go to hospital to make sure his eyes weren’t damaged and his eyelids weren’t ulcerated. Shingles often causes nerve pain in various parts of her body including the face.

  • I have on my lower back. The most painful rash I have ever had. I had to go to the Doctors and get pain killers. He said that they can come back at any time. Thankfully I have only had one episode.

  • A workmate got shingles and was off for a couple of weeks, really knocked him around – but he returned with no long term side effects or issues.

  • My dad had it and ended up in hospital, he suffered for a few months. My neighbour had them and was not right for a number of weeks. My partner had them when our son was tiny, pre vaccination age. I freaked out cos they’re meant to be highly contagious.

  • I hope a GP has been able to assist with support and relief.

  • I did earlier in the year and it was so horrible! It lasted just over a week and honestly i really struggled to get relief, if it is within the first 3 days your GP can give you anti inflamitrys however i found the did not work for me. I had them under one side of my breast and it wrapped around my back! A luke warm bath with cornflour gave some short term relief

  • No, but I have heard they are horrible. A GP should be able to give you advice.
