If you discover the rash early enough apparently there is special treatment you can be given which lessens the suffering and length of time you have it for. I did earlier in the year and it was so horrible! It lasted just over a week and honestly i really struggled to get relief, if it is within the first 3 days your GP can give you anti inflamitrys however i found the did not work for me. I had them under one side of my breast and it wrapped around my back! A luke warm bath with cornflour gave some short term relief

No, but I have heard they are horrible. A GP should be able to give you advice.
