Hello!

I’ve bought Hawaiian skirts, tops and necklaces for the girls. Then Hawaiian shirts for the guys. We will also have a bonfire for the night. Platters of fruit salads etc. a barbecue. Bought pineapple glasses for drinks. Making punches. Anything else?

  • Beach Boys or Jack Johnson music? Sounds fun!

  • How did your party go? Sounds fun :)

  • You can but those cheap Palm tree inflatables .. They look pretty good too and make colourful mickyales to serve

  • I wold have a delicious tropical fruit platter & frangipani flowers & hibiscus flowers to decorate, floating flower candles would be nice & bright coloured plates & serviettes as well.

  • if it’s for kids then mocktails with the little umbrella tooth picks.

  • We had a slushy machine (for the grown ups) and everyone got a Lei when they came in the door

  • Maybe get some real coconuts to drink pr the plastic look alikes? they look awesome

  • I love a trail of the little fake tea light candles lining the path from the front gate to the front door. You could put them in little jars. Sets a party atmosphere and is safer than leaving real candles out all night.

  • It makes me think I should have something like this. Very Good!

  • A few palm fronds around the doorways, (or palm leaf cutouts) if you are outside, sand and thongs, tiki torches/oil lanterns. The picture is our jungle theme party table which may transfer over in ideas?

  • What about a chocolate fountain to go with the tropical fruits. Yum

  • make those skewer kebabs with pineapple, chicken or beef, capsicum, onion etc.

  • Also the right music can really set the scene!

  • I agree get those tiki torches from Bunnings. Search for Hawaiian appetisers online.

  • I love those ideas. Im going to try some

  • What about some games? Roll the coconut. You buy a couple of coconuts and then who rolls it the farthest wins! :-)
You could buy some inflatable palm trees for decoration. http://www.ebay.com.au/bhp/inflatable-palm-tree Some ideas in ebay!

  • You sound pretty covered! What a lot of wonderful ideas and effort you’re putting in. If it’s outside you could get those survivor like lamp sticks… You get them from bunnings and add oil. Hope it’s fun

  • A local thrift shop should have lots of cheap and cheerful props and supplies.
