I’ve only ever got loans through a bank. Maybe accessing a finance broker for some guidance

yeah look around. a lot of places won’t give you a loan unless you earn at least $30,000 per year. be persistant and look around because there are a few around that will.

All financial institutions have their own lending criteria, and as long as you have a regular source of income (it doesn’t have to be from working) then don’t rule out the banks. Have a chat with your own bank, or one of the larger finance companies. You may have to pay a slightly higher interest rate because you represent a higher risk to the company, but that is not necessarily a bad thing if you aren’t locked in to fixed repayments and can pay extra as you can negate the increased interest rate by paying it off early. Shop around, talk to people, but do not apply until you are confident that you will be approved. Too many inquiries on your credit rating can end up working against you in the future. Banks will only lend you money if you have an income regardless if you say you can afford it so you would have to go to somewhere like a loan shark who will charge you heaps on interest.

i tried to get a loan the other day but its not worth it the money you have to pay back just wow, saving is what we doing now

If you have your own personal superannuation they also have a loan company attached. However depending on the amount they are more apt to give you a credit card for a smaller loan, bigger interest rate or borrow from your homeloan if you have a redraw attached. However I dont see why you couldnt get your partner involved and just take it out in your name your responsibility.

Impossible for any banks to lend anyone money if that person do not have a job, hence you need to go eith your husband if you want a loan.

it would depend on how big the loan is, banks do have set rates, some other lenders may charge very high rates, be careful.

My grade four teacher had some advice for us. She was telling us that her husband and herself never got a financial loan unless the item they were getting the loan for would increase in value. So no cars, no holidays, no just because loans. The only loan she has ever taken out was her homeloan, and her and her partner are debt free. Everything else they wanted they saved for.
