I would buy a box of lawn seed, sprinkle it around and water it in. Hope this helps.

Yes, I think you need to prepare the soil properly for the seeds to take and grow and survive, even though grass is hardy. There would also be some grasses that grow better in areas than others. It might be worthwhile talking to your local bunnings rep to see what type of grass and prep work is needed.

If we were to rip the weeds up it would just be dirt left. And the dusty dirt.
Might head to Bunnings and ask them for help.

I agree with the other mums, but also put a cheap litle fence with a few sticks and strring around the edges and lightly water it every few days. With in a few months your grass should be ready for a cut. Just remember to keep off it as it will not grow with people running over it. Oh and also rip all thoose yucky weeds out before you start.

There’s quite a few grass growing products on the shelves at gardening places, or even Bunnings and Mitre10. I must look into them too as our lawn is turning into moss and I have no idea why

There’s a few weed and feed type applications which you can scatter over which aren’t too expensive – ask a guy at bunnings
