Hello!

Walls were painted a month ago and will be in trouble if I damage them. How do I hang decorations on the wall without ruining painted walls?

  • Depending on how heavy they are, blu tack might work. Or I think 3MMM does a range of removable wall hooks.

  • Rental safe sticky tabs – can get from hardware stores. Otherwise hang in the cornice join as you won’t notice as much

  • I use blu tac. It’s ok if only for a short time. If left over a period of time, it can leave grease like stains

  • Definitely a fan of the 3m hooks, always worked perfectly for me =)

  • adhesive hooks, or just bog up when move.

  • Command 3M products are great

  • 3M adhesive hooks are good but if you’re in your own place if you use a tack up where the join in the cornice is you won’t notice the pin hole when it’s removed

  • Blue tack. I always use it and never had any problem.

  • Blu tac and double sided tape seem to work well and leave no marks. Blu tac has to be gently worked off and also be gentle when removing double sided tape. Have fun decorating!

  • You can buy the ones that stick to the wall and when you are ready you just pull a tab at the bottom and they dont leave a mark really easy. Just cant remember the brand name they come in clear or white and you can get them at bunnings or even woolworths or coles. hope that helped.

  • Double sided tape as used for picture hanging is what I suggest, it is rather strong as well. You can buy it in hardware departments or stores.

  • alright i suggest the temporary or removable hooks. please spend the money on buying the decent brand because i have found that the cheaper brands are inferior and will damage the wall when they fall off

  • blue tac is good but you have to really play with it and get it war in your hands before so it doesn’t peel paint.
or those temporary adhesive strips with hooks

  • If you are in your own house my suggestion is that you buy adhesive hooks as near the colour as the wall as you can. When not in use leave them up there. My nephew put some up close to the ceiling and you have to look for them as they aren’t really noticable at all.
