Soap making is easy, but you need to be careful to mix lye and wear protective gears, keep children out of sight to avoid any risk of them being hurt during the production. Curing soap is a long process, usually takes 4-8 weeks pending on the type of soap you are making.
There are many soap making books available in Australian term and lots of people making their own soaps to sell at the Sunday markets etc. You could also learn from them when browsing at the handcraft markets.
Another starting point is to join soap making classes where essential oil companies may schedule at your local stores.
Keep searching and you will find suitable one for you.

For technical and how to questions, Google or any other search engine window is the only choice, if you want true choice. There are so many choices and types of soap recipes available, and then you really want to search with ‘Australia’ in the question wording. Not all Google/search answers will be from Australia, and you need to understand not all ingredients will be known with Australian names nor are all ingredients available in Australia. We only used all left over soap bars so that was our search parameters, and now we only use liquid, but Google and reading found the answers. Read each answer and open relevant web pages to see which one suits your needs, based on your personal skill/knowledge, equipment, materials and ingredients, as well as the desired finished product. My hubby makes goats milk soap – the hard bar form – and he googled how to make soap and then purchased all the ingredients over the net. He is quite successful with it thank heavens because the only one that stopped all his itches and exscema has been taken off the market and the other commercial varieties don’t work.

Thanks for the recipe of liquid soap. I have actually made this before, I am keen to find out more about soap tablets. The liquid soap that I have made contains water, fragrance (lemon grass is great for this) and castille liquid. Then you can put it into a bottle that converts liquid to foam and save on soap used.

My kids and I made some Home Made Liquid Soap after buying one at the supermarket. I thought I’d look up how it is made. I re-used the container we bought, so save them up. Here is how we make it. Ingredients

Water (distilled or boiled is best)
Liquid Castille Soap (My health food store had it. You can buy it from a on-line store.
½ tsp liquid oil like olive or almond
Essential oils of choice for scent we like lime and cucumber and coconut
Instructions: Fill the soap dispenser to about 1 inch of the top.
Leave room for the bulky foaming pump and the soap to be added.
Add 2 tablespoons of liquid Castille Soap to the water mixture.
Warning: DO NOT add the soap first or it will create bubbles when the water is added.
Add the oil (optional but it helps preserve the life of the dispenser)
Add your essential oils now just a drop or two.
Close and lightly swish to mix.
Use as you would any regular foaming soap.

This makes a great Shaving Foam as well.

Not sure if you have a thermomix but if you do there are many recipes available to make it
