I resize them on my laptop. Bit of a job but worth it

I’ve been trying to upload photos to the recipe page too and keep being told “Sorry, you can upload images only.” My pictures are images so I don’t understand why they’re not uploading

I use my mobile phone to take photos, then load them to my computer, open it with Windows Paint, resize photo to 1024 pixels. This will give you a much smaller size. Give it try and good luck.

I try and limit the ‘busy-ness’ of the photo, keep it as plain as possible, this helps reduce its size

Try emailing them to yourself, an option of size adjustment usually pops up, then you can choose the size and use that pic to upload here. I’m not that tech savvy, so don’t be surprised if this doesn’t work :/

Thankyou for this question and advice, I have several recipes that I want to post, have great photos but being the computer illiterate person I am I just end up so frustrated I give up before I end up in tears, I will try some of these tips, I just don’t understand how some people make it seem so easy yet I cant do anything on this damn thing.

You need a program to convert the size of your photos I would suggest. perhaps google and it might bring a few suggestions up, you might be able to do it online instantly without having to pay.

Have you got the Snipping Tool in your apps? Search for it. If you have it (I’ve got it in Windows 8) just open the picture then “snip” it and save it. The dimension will automatically reduce.

I use Adobe Photoshop otherwise, but you need to buy the program.

Hmmmm good question, might have to try pic monkey caus previously I have had to email pics to myself and shrink the resolution that way.

Use picmonkey.com to upload your photo’s and resave them in a much smaller resolution. Picmonkey also has heaps of other fun features for photo editing collage making, adding texts.

Luckily I have not had any problems uploading photos; have not checked the size. Hopefully someone else can help? Good Luck. Look forward to seeing your recipes.
