Hello!

I recently purchased a container of cooking cream. There was no “consume within … Days after opening”.
So I assumed I could use it until the expiry date. After a few days it did not seem fresh but had not passed its expiry date. How long will cooking cream keep fresh?

  • If opened in the fridge I say 3 days

  • I always need a use by date for cream and milk and dairy products!

  • I know it turns yellow if it is off, and I can tell by looking at it of any dairy products have gone off in the fridge. The only thing I cant tell is milk, and I use the boiling water test, where you pour it in hot water and if it is lumpy then it’s off .

  • Once it’s opened, the use by time greatly reduces. With things like dairy, they usually only last a couple of days once opened

  • Good question – maybe contact the maker via phone or email

  • Sometimes with cooking cream I find that it looks a little watery but if you give it a stir it comes together. However once it reaches the expiry date, I always throw it out if opened.
It may still be okay but sometimes its just not worth the risk.
