I did not give my babies middle names. What inspires a middle name?

  • My kids all have a middle name. Two were inspired by relatives names and two just because they were names we loved and wanted to use.

  • I didn’t give my children middle names.

  • Just the one. I have three and hubby has one.

  • I have two midfle names. One is the month I was born in and the flower that blooms in that month. Sadly, I wasn’t so creative with my kids

  • I named my babies after grandparents. My daughter’s middle name is Joan and my son’s is Scott (father’s name) and Robert (grandfather’s name).

  • My son has one…
One too many if you ask me. But its apparently a family tradition and all the boys get the same middle name…cos having the same surname isnt enough.

  • I chose james and isaac for my boys middle names. We both liked them alot

  • We just picked 2 names that sounded good together. My 2 kids have one middle name each. My partner has one middle name. I have 2, all my siblings have one…..cos I’m special. There’s a story behind my name choices. My brother, mum had a pin and a page of names in Woman’s Day, she closed her eyes and stabbed the pin in a name. He ended up,with Ewan poor kid

  • All my names have a story. Gaye because my parents were very happy to finally have a daughter after 5 sons. June, the month I was born. And Rose, they flower in June in England, where I was born. My kids have a first and middle name. 2 just because we liked them and 2 from TV shows we were watching during pregnancy

  • I have 2 middle names and hubby has one, so we just went with it for our kids. The story for my 2 middle names is……..I was the first girl born after 5 boys, so my parents were happy when I arrived. Hence first name Gay. I was born in England in June, hence second name. The rose is blooming in June in England, hence my third name. Gay June Rose 🙂

  • We had family middle names! Maree from mother’s side and Alexander from father’s side

  • My boys just have one -one a family name and the other just because we liked it with his first name. My daughter has two – she was going to just have my Mum’s name as a middle name, but my MIL died just before she was born, so we added her name too.

  • Just the one, inspired from a name in a book, actually it’s a surname but works well.

  • Most people I know have one middle name, as I do. I gave each of my 3 kids one middle name each also. I guess it’s a matter of preference, and allows you to pick 2 names if you can’t decide on just one as well haha 🙂

  • my 3 sons all have middle names first is my brother second was my husbands and third was dads name

  • My daughter doesn’t have middle names at all.

  • One. Ours were passed down through the family. I liked them so stuck with them

  • none of my kids have middle names but 3 of them have two first names

  • We used family names as middle names. They flow really well with their first names and we often use them as nicknames, or make up nicknames from them.

  • My three girls all have middle names starting with M because my husband and I also have M as middle names. My second daughter has the same middle name as me, we just like giving a middle name.
