My child used to about once a week when he could take cash. Once the schools brought in an online prepaid ordering system I stopped. I think it’s important to teach independence and cash handling from a young age. Too many people are using digital payments and can’t even perform simple maths. Recently I purchased something for $10.15 I gave the staff member $50.15 and they tried to give me $39.85 change. I had to explain to the person that my change should be $40. Couldn’t believe they couldn’t work that out.

We don’t do tuck shop or lunch orders and never did

Usually one day a week as they see others buying all the time and once a week doesn’t hurt to do and also that you can afford to do it.

Our school does not have one. They offer a lunch order every 2-3 weeks on a Friday and it is an offer of either a salad roll from banjos or a pizza slide from banjos both of which come with a mini muffin

Our canteen only opens once a week which makes it easy as they can only have it once a week, but sometimes they don’t even get that. If it was open every day then I think once a week would be plenty.

At our school the tuck shop is open every day , for us is more like a treat from time to time.

well i would pick a friday but maybe once or twice a term. we are pretty good with packing our lunches and the canteen is getting expensive

Our School canteen is lunch order only and open Monday and Friday. My daughters get a lunch order every Friday 🙂

Canteen has always been a special once a week on a Friday treat. Something special to look forward to at the end of a busy school week.
