  • My daughter with Down syndrome does this. I have her in onesies during naptime and night and put them front to back on (so the zip is on the back) and then I do a sleepingtog over that, again back to front (zip on the back). I just sewed some more thinner summer sleeping-togs, as she’s 4 yrs old and I can’t buy them anymore in her size. The Bonds onesies size 3 fit her still.

  • Good answers! It was interesting reading the comments to this!

  • You could try using good old fashioned cloth and pin nappies. There’s not too much you can do with disposables, unless you dress them in a way they can’t get to their nappy

  • It is a sign he is ready for training pants. He hates the feel of soiled nappies so get him some really cool undies that he chooses as he wants to be a big boys now! Good luck.

  • Hope you succeed. I would also suggest nappy pants I don’t know how old your LO is but maybe ready for toilet training

  • Hope you succeed. I would also suggest nappy pants

  • Mine has decided it is a good idea to take pants off and then the nappy too. I make sure she is wearing a bodysuit now as she cannot get that undone.

  • i hope you had success

  • Hope you managed to find the answer you were looking for.

  • What did you end up doing?

  • Pull-up might be the way to go

  • Maybe using a Nappy pants rather than nappy itself, maybe (cant remember what its called) but overall clips that clip to their pants and go over the shoulders, may help

  • Try singlet suits, it made it harder for them to get the nappy off.

  • I would say that he might be ready for toilet training with the pull up pants. How did you go in the end?

  • Get out that duct tape and wrap it around the waist a couple of times.

  • When my little ones did that I started putting the nappy on backwards or putting undies / pilchers on top of it.
    Masking tape works well too.

  • Try taping the nappy with masking tape right around it. Otherwise an all on one suit you can buy winter and summer ones

  • My son has started doing this, now he’ll usually take his nappy off when hes pooed then sit on the toilet, so I’ve got more serious about toilet training now as he seems determined. Give toilet training a go.

  • he might be ready for toilet training Give it a try

  • This is a sign of wanting to be toilet trained, my son did this. But you could put him in a jumpsuit, might help.
