There is an online thing called playgroup NSW where you can join online/virtual play groups.

I would check with your local council and your local baby health clinic, they usually know what’s going on. If you get stuck, maybe stay in contact with mums from the group that’s just finished and have your own gatherings

Some local councils have information pamphlets and notice boards. Some shopping centres have notice boards with information on them. Some charity organisations including those linked some churches have suitable events for children.

My daughter just turned one and we go to the library every week they have a Baby rhyme time I also have a school’s playgroup we attended and also we go to swimming class once a week and she loves it

Kindergym, art classes, music classes. Public libraries often offer free story and music sessions for mums and bubs.

A lot of playgroups break for the Christmas holidays as mums may have older school children. We were lucky to have one in Balcatta in Perth that ran right through the break and had an outside playground bigger kids could enjoy.

Maybe head to your local library. Rhyme time might be on break too, but at least there will be other kids activities or your can just read books and meet other families. The local pool is another option. Little ones swimming lessons usually still run through the holidays, or you could just take her for a casual splash. It’s more about getting bubs familiar with water anyway at that age. Baby Sensory will be starting up again and should be available in most cities.

I would definitely recommend going to playgroup in it area they are the perfect platform to find everything you need for your little one.

During school holidays its difficult to find something. Highly recommended playgroups and check your local library.

Swimming lessons for infants can be great – fun for both you and your child and you get to meet other parents with children of a similar age
