For the office dad – a photo frame with a pic of the kids holding an I love u sign – if you can get a frame that can be decorated by the kids they can add their own personal touch.
For the BBQ king dad get a plain apron and let the kids draw on it with sharpies
For the outdoor dad – again some sharpies can be used to decorate a cap that has a plain from (did this with my kindy students – got the caps from Kmart – it was one of the most loved presents we did)
For the potato couch dad – get the kids to draw on a cushion or pillow case so he can use it while chilling out

I had a find at Aldi they had Darrell lea bags for $14.99 and heaps of other small dad gifts worth a look

We usually go with food, it is hard to think of meaningful presents every year that he will use and appreciate. We are lucky enough to have all the basics so present time is just an extra.

I’m getting my dad and my husband both wooden phone stands for beside the bed that are personalised to say ‘daddy since 2017’ ‘poppy since 2017’ and a leather bracelet with myself and kids named on them.

Kids will make a gift or choose something special – they come up with their own unique ideas.

CD of favourite artist. Good book. Something for the car. Voucher for dinner at his favourite restaurant. Work/gardening gloves. Day trip out somewhere nice/different for lunch. Gift card for Bunnings or Supacheap Auto. Homemade cookies/muffins.

I’m thinking of a home cooked surprise dinner of some sort of seafood which he loves but we mostly can’t afford – I’ll splash out and buy it for him.
