It not only depends in which part of Australia you live, also from which country you’re coming from and your personal body preference (my son is always hot and never ever wears long pants or long sleeved t-shirts or jumpers, whereas I’m quickly cold, love my boots, knee length socks, long pants and jumpers). When I lived in Northern Ireland I found it amazing to see people in short, slippers and things complaining about the heat by 20 C !!
By the end of the winter it still can be chilly but personally I wouldn’t buy new winter clothes anymore. I would go for layers, put a hoody on when it’s chilly and throw it off when it’s getting you too warm.

It would really depend on which part of the country you’re in. I would check the internet to see what the averages temperatures are in your town/ city over the next few months – that might give you an indication.

Also, if you’re visiting daycare centres, kindy, playgroup, parks, the local GP, the local chemist or child health clinic, ask people around you – they’re best suited to help you!

As others have said, it depends where you are. If your child is at school, they may have a set date they can start wearing Summer uniform.

If you live in Melbourne you will need layers and Summer is warm in December.

It depends which part of Australia you’re in. Theres melbourne that has 4 seasons in a day then canberra’s quite cool. Majority of Qld it starts warming up early September. Throughout November and December Queensland and Northern Territory have many heat waves. Be sure to keep fluids up as well as wear sunscreen, hat, shirt and sunnies. The UV rays in Australia are generally quite high

If they have No winter clothes that fit than St least one outfit for cooler weather is good because we do get the odd cooler day. As others have said layers are great. We’re Canberra and although it’s starting to warm up, the morning and evenings are cool. So we do long pants, singlet, t-shirt or long top depending on temperature, and add layers like another long top or jumper for cold days. You probably will need some but not heaps of winter type clothes still.

Depending on where you live- i would say if you see any specials on children’s clothing stock up.
Usually my daughter has a singlet,a long sleeve top and a shirt on over top depending on the weather- if its cold outside there is usually a jersey/jumper as well. It’s been an extremely cold winter this year in WA

Spring is only 2 weeks away but we still can experience cold blasts. Layers are great and if you see super specials on winter stuff maybe purchase a sml amount.

Spring starts next month. It will still be cool until mid spring they will be wearing a mix of winter and summer clothes.

I’m in nsw, still chilly where i am but definitely warming up soon i wouldn’t buy more winter clothes just yet

It depends on which state you live, just don’t put away the winter clothes yet. Soon it will be warm enough to buy summer clothes but no new winter ones.
Just check with neighbours and also the weather as well as looking around you and see what other kids are wearing because the weather here is unpredictable at times.

Here in WA it’s starting to warm up already. I wouldn’t buy any new winter clothing.
