  • From the research I’ve read is that it’s just the gas between the joints that makes the cracking noise. Chiropractors crack all parts of your body and there doesn’t seem to be anything detrimental to your health.

  • To be totally honest on this I am unsure ..some research are ya and na. My chiropractor cracks my arthritic middle finger but then again he knows what he is doing.

  • No, it releases gases around the joint that creates that sound. It is not harmful just don’t over do it in my opinion.

  • Scientific studies have proven that it is not harmful and the research and findings are quite interesting- Well worth reading.

  • It actually separates the joints mildly. But it’s an old wives tale that you’ll get arthritis from doing it
