Yes, eye tests are usually covered by Medicare so it’s a good idea to do an eye test either annually or every two years.

Get a second opinion if you still have concerns.

Eyes should be checked especially if in any doubt about vision.

I had the eyes of my eldest 2 not tested after age 4 as they never complained about anything and just seemed to see right.
When my daughter was 13yr, she suddenly started to complain about her left eye. Had her and my 12yr old son) checked then and it worked out she had an undetected lazy eye: left eye +7,5, right eye +3.5 !! Started patching from then on, on which it has improved a bit.

My daughter got tested because she started complaining she couldn’t see from the back of the classroom in high school and she is short sighted . ( not too serious though ). Why don’t you ask the optometrist as you pay them for advice and he/she will tell you what the problem is and when she should pop in again .

Yes, I would get her eyes tested again, no harm in testing them right? If she is complaining I would definitely have them checked out.

Any eye complaints and I would get them tested. Eyesight is so important and vital. You are better to be sure there are no issues, or be able to treat any if discovered. Just like adults, regular checks are important as eye change with time. I had my daughters eyes tested as the was suffering regular headaches. Turned out it wasn’t her eyes, but that process helped work out what the problem was.

can get it tested again. Some kids pass that pre-school eye test but then have issues when they are actually at school. Hopefully it is alright for you guys.

6 Years old, but will take to an optometrist just in case

How old is your daughter? I think that all children are having their eyesight checked at preschool when they are 4 years old and going to school the following year. I have a couple of friends who discovered problems with their child’s vision through this program.
If you are concerned though I would certainly take your child to an optometrist. It should be covered by Medicare I think(?)

I would definitely get your daughter’s eyes tested, checked etc. There could be a definite medical problem (minor or serious) causing it. I don’t mean to sound too alarmist but I know of a small toddler who has Glaucoma and has already had one operation. Your daughter may have one eye that turns either outwards or inwards. It may be able to be improved with eye exercises (I went to an Orthoptist for treatment and it improved a lot) or your daughter may need glasses now. My left eye turns outwards – more noticable when I am tired and other people notice it – or when trying to hit a tennis ball. My niece’s left eye turns outwards too – and she sees double without glasses.

It probably wouldn’t hurt, but maybe also consulting with a GP, to see if there is anything else that can cause that same condition

Make sure they are experienced with children. I was told my son was bottom of class for reading & I kept saying it was more than that – but what would I know, I’m just his mother!
I wear glasses & contacts, happen to mention it to my optometrist who is child specialist.

Tested him & found he needed to wear glasses for 12 months & did eye exercises every day & went from bottom to close to top of class within a year with his reading! Turns out the mussels of he’s eyes needed a little help & he has never needed any help since.

My son is now 21 & his sight is so much better than mine!

It’s probably a good idea. Our vision can change a lot in a short time.
