I have bought items from ebay successfully only because I am a vigilant buyer and will not hesitate to escalate a dispute if needed. Hence , that is why my daughter has recently lost some money over a delayed o/seas purchase which she should have been vigilant on and I said to her this is experience . She left it too late to dispute and claim has been rejected . I would suggest you read how to buy and sell process first then do it with caution and only start off small . Fees are charged for selling from what I heard .
I find that people who don’t get the process can sometimes get sucked into the cons, so if you are unsure, have a friend walk you through your first few transactions
It’s easy to use Ebay, and if you use common sense it’s safe. I’ve only ever used it to purchase, and it’s generally very good. Ebay aren’t much help if there’s a problem, though. They send you standard emails even if they have nothing to do with the actual problem.
Don’t try to sell big price items like a car as I’ve heard so many stories of scams trying to courier the car. I have saved so much by buying on eBay & using PayPal only.
It can be yes. but before buying you need to look at the person you are buying from, see how many things they have sold, and what tthe reviews are for that person.
When i buy something off ebay, i like to use pay pal as you have a certain amount of insurance type protection if something is wrong with the item or it goes missing etc.
Using Paypal helps make it very safe. Always be careful with items that need to be picked up. I always suggest weekends when other family members are home too just as added security, but we have never had any trouble. Always check the sellers ratings ( always go for 100%) before you buy and read ads very carefully so you know exactly what you are buying. Check measurements, quantities, etc and then you won’t get surprises when the item arrives.
Hi, it is easy to use Ebay for preloved items depending on the size of the items. Once you include postage with the weight of the item it can sometimes be a bit of a hassle. I find Gumtree and for my area Central Coast Swap and Sell on facebook much for easier and efficient for preloved items. Just my opinion
ebay safe, but they are moving away from mum sellers now.. try facebook, you will find closed groups that sell eg. Buy Swap Sell (your suburb) and similar. Just click on the join button and they will approve you, and you will sell everything locally – a really good way to get rid of stuff . Hope you make pots of money!!
