Hello!

Is the Flybuys program worthwhile. Do other mums get reasonable rewards and does it take a long time to accrue and get the rewards?

  • Can be useful if you remember to scan your card. You may receive bonus offers and on occasion a free product to try.

  • I use it as I shop at Coles anyway. Get quite a few rewards each year, mainly as money off my shop. Often get bonus points offers too.

  • I have flybuys but it takes me forever to get enough to get a gift card, mainly because I prefer to shop Woolies because they deliver and Coles don’t. So unless you use some of their partners it will take awhile, so check out the partners first.

  • I love Flybuys! I use it for every food shop then at the end of the year redeem my points for Coles dollars & do my Christmas food shop :)
It’s wonderful & during the year they send me little bonuses as well!

  • It really depends on what you are saving for, if you just want to regularly get money off your shop, it does not take too long, especially if you buy petrol from Shell servos (as those points count aswell) and shop at Target etc. However if like me you are trying to save for an Ipad, it has so far taken me two years and I am now only 10,000 points away.

  • I used to scan at every shop and found it harder and harder to get bonus points and incentives etc because they keep upping your spending. I have stopped religiously scanning and they send through some good offers to encourage you to use your card again which is were the rewards come in!

  • Flybuys is great, I use it mainly for cash back on my shopping rather than flights so it works for me. Every few weeks I get $10 off my shop which is great. If you get home or car insurance you can double the points you earn which I love.

  • I think any of the reward cards are ok as long as you don’t go out and but things just to earn points

  • Absolutely! I use my lots and this year I have had $40 off my grocery bill. Don’t even bother with the others as never got a thing.

  • oh yeah they will target you with specials based on what you buy but a really good benefit to this system is RECALLS! they will see if you have bought a recall affected product. Trust me, everyone heard about the berries recall but did you hear about woolworths olive’s recall? Or about homebrands’ cereal recall due to glass being in their cereal? These are two that have happened since the berry scare and these recalls weren’t plastered all over the news so i only knew that these were being recalled through an email

  • I like flybuys, just because I add up points while I shop. It doesnt cost me money and I dont go out of my way to shop at Coles just because of Flybuys.
I mainly go to Aldi as its better value.

  • I disagree with the people that say it takes years.. We have flybuys, AGL, so what we spend on electricity goes on there. I activate the bonus shopping emails and try and use the vouchers when I remember. Over the past year, we’ve cashed out $140 in Flybuys dollars, we just use it to spend at Coles again. Its a great help. I would definitely recommend. Its not costing you anything so you have nothing to lose.

  • Mostly definitely. The only drawback is that they use your spending data to try and get you to buy more.

  • It takes years I always thought it was great before I actually got one.

  • I got one don’t use it much. But will see how it goes

  • i think coles are way better than wollies but if you shop at the same store, they will add up quicker than having a few cards at different places

  • I love flybys – I often get benefits using 2000 points for get $10 discounts on shopping.

  • I love my Coles flybuy card and if you have another family member with a linked card even better.
I do have a woolies everyday rewards card but you have to spend $30 before you start earning points on your shop and I found out the hard way that a family member how has a linked card to yours, the purchases they make with their card does not give you the points.
It’s Coles by far for me.

  • I believe they are, I managed to get a few hundred dollars worth of toys last Christmas through the program. It helps if you get hubby in board with fuel & liquor land too.

  • It is good if you shop a lot at coles and target !
