Hello!

Oh my…has anyone else been sucked into the Kmart vortex of homewares awesomeness? I find I am falling in love with nearly all their new homewares! They are so affordable that I can easy change my decor without feeling bad! Have you had any luck? What other places do you score bargain homewares?

  • Super amart or fantastic furniture

  • Ikea is great!

  • I’m with you on Kmart being awesome for homewares but you can also get some lovely items at Base Warehouse if there is one near you.

  • K-Mart has a great price point but I also buy from other stores when I find things on sale.

  • Freedom homewares on sale can be amazing,eg$200 bed linen to $20 l have purchased quite a few in my time!

  • Probably not bargains, but some garden nurseries also carry lovely homeware lines.

  • Target, Myer or David jones always seem to have some good deals on home wears. I too like the Kmart stuff too.

  • I like browsing at Myer when they are on sale. Target and Big W are not bad either which will suit any budget. These days stores are putting effort in adding variety to homeware items ( so many teatowels to choose from !) . Even Coles and Woolworths have upped the anty and I even bought a mini rice cooker at Woolworths last year that make enough for 3-4 people .

  • Depending on what you are looking for Browse in sometimes has good things at very good prices. There is a shop at the North Park Shopping Centre opposite the Sefton Plaza Shopping Centre called Knick Knack which occasionally has good stuff too. Kmart has excellent generic brand products. (they are made by big companies anyway). I thionk KMart’s prices are cheaper than Target in a lot of cases.
Big W is very good too. If they don’t have a price on them, find a staff member and ask for a price. I was told by a staff member that they are usually cheaper than reduced prices recommended by the Manufacturer/Agent. Aparently some suppliers aren’t happy when stores do that and order more stock than expected because sometimes they run out of stock to supply other businesses.

  • I used to hate Kmart now I have to stop myself from going there and buying everything!

  • I have been really impressed with Kmart as well! I admit to being an Ikea fiend myself!

  • Kmart is very affordable but their is Target as well!

  • yeah kmart is pretty good! the reject shop also

  • target, ikea, neds, cheap as cheaps and the reject shop. They also take Kmarts old stuff so if you missed out on something always try your luck there.

  • target and ikea are awesome too

  • Depends what you want to spend… There are some cool discount websites out there, like Catch of the Day that have sales, and if you know what you are looking for can pick up some massive bargains. I love Home and Myer

  • Oh yes I’m a huge fan of Kmart so affordable, I also like searching Big W & Target for their regular sales for something different.

  • I really like Ikea for homewares. Anywhere that I can buy a glass or colourful mug for less than $1 is my kind of place :D I purchase a lot from Kmart too but find Ikea better quality, it’s just a shame I live an hour from Ikea :(

  • ikea, target, things, spotlight

  • Target and the various $2 stores can all have good stuff. Sometimes.
