Hello!

I am a mother of soon to be 4 children, one income coming in, husband away during the week and occasional weekends. If we start to struggle with income just wondering what kind of jobs are there out there that maybe I can do? Most likely, if possible at home ones?

  • Do something online, first do some courses on digital marketing then start doing marketing for small business

  • Another friend of mine sells make-up and does tutorials on the make up she sells

  • My friend does Amway as an extra income. It’s not my thing but some people love it.

  • grow herbs in milk cartons and transfer to pots later and sell to friends . or take in washing if u have space and somewhere to dry it.

  • my mate cooks meals for people. most of them drop by and pick it up on the way home and she delivers to some oldies :)

  • I do have a lot of stuff at home I don’t use, and a lot of it is new so maybe I might start using Ebay or something!

  • You could maybe do other people’s laundry washing and ironing. Or babysit. Sell unwanted things on eBay or gumtree. Maybe do people’s accounts

  • I used to do ironing but didn’t really get too much.
I’m trying to get better at being crafty/ arty lots of jobs at home to do with them

  • What a great question. I have been wondering that myself. But I’m no good at ironing! :(

  • ironing sounds good something I can do at home and don’t have to get the kids looked after!

  • Depending on your skill set, you might be able to offer home based admin/bookkeeping services. Some small businesses require these services but do not actively seek them due to too many applicants. Try advertising your skills/availability online or in local paper?

  • What about taking in people’s ironing? I have heard that some people drop basket loads off and then pick them up for an agreed price.

  • Get the kids together & have a garage sale one weekend hubby isn’t home,if successful maybe do it monthly, fortnightly.
